Bishop Littlejohn grave markerThis unique historic cemetery offers an unusual opportunity to purchase burial sites. See it in all seasons when ancient flowering trees and shrubs spread a bower of blossoms over the graves.

The picturesque eleven rolling acre cemetery landscape reflects the quiet dignity of the Victorian era. The first Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of Long Island, Abram Littlejohn, when he first viewed the undulating terrain filled with ornamental trees brought in from all over the world, called the place, “God’s Acres.” He was so filled with the beauty of the setting that he chose it for his final resting place.
